Job Title: Community and Learning Coordinator, Audience Development (CLC25)
Contract: Part-time | Permanent
Hours: 0.6 or 0.8 FTE (including occasional evening and weekend work)
Location: Chiswick House & Gardens Trust
Reports to: Community, Learning and Volunteers Manager
Responsible for: Community groups, schools, teachers, programme practitioners and facilitators

We are seeking a Community and Learning Coordinator, Audience Development to strengthen relationships with local communities and schools, expand our reach, and embed inclusive engagement across Chiswick House & Gardens.

Working closely with the Community, Learning and Volunteers Manager, and alongside the Community and Learning Coordinator (Programming) and Volunteers Coordinator, you will play a key role in delivering our community and schools programmes. This includes the Growing Together Community Programme and the Growing Green Schools Programme, supporting access, wellbeing and learning through co-designed projects, outdoor engagement and volunteering.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and people-focused coordinator to develop their skills in community engagement, learning and audience development. You will collaborate across teams to ensure our programmes are welcoming, accessible and relevant, helping diverse audiences feel confident, connected and inspired to engage with Chiswick House & Gardens.

Key Requirements

  • 2–3 years’ experience in community outreach, learning or engagement roles, preferably within the charity, heritage, cultural, greenspace or nonprofit sectors
  • Experience developing and delivering co-designed community or educational projects
  • Proven ability to work with diverse communities and create inclusive, participatory experiences
  • Strong partnership-building and relationship management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously
  • Experience working with artists, creatives and freelance facilitators
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and SharePoint
