Senior Communications & Marketing Manager
The organisation
Chiswick House and Gardens Trust (CHGT) cares for 65-acre Grade-I registered gardens, a 2-acre Kitchen Garden and 1,800 trees, surrounding a 300-year-old Grade-I listed historic house, in the London Borough of Hounslow in the heart of west London. Our gardens are free to visit and open every day, welcoming more than 825,000 visitors annually and playing a vital role in our community.
We are embarking on a new ambitious 10-year business plan – a series of interventions to support cultural, community and creative enterprise activity on the estate; to regenerate under-used historic and green spaces; to facilitate the expansion of our volunteering, learning and community output; to foster a local creative economy and develop a sustainable business model.
Central to our strategy is the need to transform our communications function to raise the charity’s profile, increase engagement with key audiences and ensure that our local community understands, appreciates, and engages with our social impact. This postholder will be a key player in our efforts to secure the support that we need to realise our ambitions and assure the long-term future of the Trust.
The role
We have an exciting opportunity for a creative, tenacious, and inspiring communications professional to join our team as Senior Communications & Marketing Manager as we embark on delivering our ambitious new 10-year strategy to secure our long-term sustainability.
Personal specification
You will be an experienced communications professional with a drive to shape and manage every aspect of the CHGT’s communications and an interest in developing a clear understanding of our target audiences and the role that our gardens and heritage assets play in their daily lives. We want someone ambitious who can develop our strategy, leverage our positioning, raise our profile, and get stuck into delivering a wide range of communications activity.
