Chiswick House & Gardens is delighted to be collaborating with Border Crossings’ ORIGINS Festival to host the beautiful TOTEM LATAMAT from Mexico on its journey through the UK this autumn.
Carved by the Indigenous Totonac artist Jun Tiburcio, the totem is a messenger from the Totonac people, calling attention to the damage being done to the seas, the land and the air.
Chiswick House is the first site the Totem will visit when it arrives in the UK, and will be on site to view between 29th September – 4th October . After visiting us, the Totem will tour the country and eventually arrive in Glasgow for the COP26 Climate Summit in November.
