Love’s Labour’s Lost
Shakespeare in the Squares presents Love’s Labour’s Lost, Shakespeare’s sparkling comedy of flirtation, foolishness and the irresistible pull of love.
We are delighted to announce Shakespeare in the Squares will be celebrating their tenth anniversary with a new production of Love’s Labour’s Lost, Shakespeare’s sparkling comedy of flirtation, foolishness and the irresistible pull of love. The production will be directed by Toby Gordon.
Shakespeare in the Squares is a not-for-profit touring theatre company that stages a Shakespeare play in London garden squares for one night in each venue every summer. Their patron is Dame Judi Dench.
Bring your picnic and wine, your sunglasses and your participatory spirit, and join Shakespeare in the Squares for a summer cocktail of poetic pageantry and light-hearted lunacy, featuring rock and pop classics from the 1960s and ’70s.
The show begins at 5pm, and we hope the audience will picnic from 3.30pm. Chairs are provided but unreserved. There will be a brief interval, and the play will finish by 7pm. If you plan to picnic, please take away all your rubbish and respect the neighbours as you leave.
