Opening times and tickets
Our gardens are open free for everyone every day.
Thanks to our supporters, the stunning gardens here are free for everyone, every day.
Internationally recognised and locally loved, they are home to lots of wildlife and over 1,600 trees that clean and cool the air. Visit for a relaxing day out, acres of green space, and a break from everyday hustle and bustle.
As the first ever English landscape garden, nurtured alongside the 18th century Palladian villa, Chiswick House & Gardens also has a special place in garden design and architectural history. There is always something exciting to discover here.
The gardens are open daily from 7am until dusk all year round.
November closing time: 5pm
Kitchen Garden
At the centre of the 65-acre grounds we run an open, working Kitchen Garden where everyone is invited to wander, taste what’s growing, and enjoy activities run with and for our local community.
The Kitchen Garden is closed until Spring 2026.
Free entry
A beautiful garden setting, it is a little gem we shall return to again and again!
Artist Studios
Our artist and maker studios, created from refurbished historic sheds, stables and outbuildings in our underused ‘back of house areas’, officially opened in May 2025, with our first artists moving in later that summer. We host regular Community Open Days where visitors can enjoy meeting our resident artists and taking part in free creative workshops, suitable for all ages.

Chiswick House
Discover a Neo-Palladian architectural marvel designed by two Georgian trendsetters, William Kent and Richard Boyle, the third Earl of Burlington. Replete with ornate details and striking works of art, there’s something to admire everywhere you look. This year, you’ll also see a very special 19th-century picture depicting Queen Victoria attending a fashionable garden party right here at Chiswick House!
The House is now closed until 2026.
We offer group tours in the House all year round, find out more here.
Getting here
Chiswick House and Gardens are easy to get to by car, bicycle, public transport or on foot. There's no excuse not to come and visit!
