This Christmas, Chiswick House & Gardens is filled with festive activities for all to enjoy!
Every week from Sunday 1 November, the Gardens come alive with a busy schedule of Christmas markets, packed with treats to buy and savour. Whether you’re buying a carefully-crafted ornament from Chiswick House Shop or savouring mulled wine from Colicci, your purchase will go back towards the care of these historic spaces. There’s lots to enjoy inside the House too, with crafty workshops, Christmas theatre productions and a Magical Grotto where younger visitors can meet Father Christmas.

Meet Father Christmas
Various dates, Saturday 28 November – Thursday 24 December
Visit Father Christmas in his twinkling Grotto in Chiswick House. Little ones will delight in interacting with him and his elf, hearing a festive story and leaving with a surprise gift to cherish.
Festive theatre
Quantum Theatre: A Christmas Carol
Monday 21 December and Tuesday 22 December
Quantum Theatre are bringing their production of this Christmastime classic in a performance to delight kids and grown-ups alike!
The Duchess’s Christmas: an operatic celebration
Saturday 12 December and Sunday 13 December
Liberata Collective are back with another operatic treat, this time with a festive twist. The Duchess’s Christmas is inspired by the history of Chiswick House, featuring Georgiana Duchess of Devonshire and her friends in a Georgian-style Christmas celebration. Performed within the House itself, the show promises to be a highlight of the Christmas season.

Glass Bauble Painting
Sunday 29 November
Get into the spirit of the season at this guided bauble-painting workshop where you’ll be expertly guided to creating a beautiful glass bauble to cherish for years to come.
Festive Candle Painting workshop
Sunday 13 December
Using a colourful selection of paints, you’ll decorate three vegan-friendly candlesticks with your own festive designs at this fun workshop, best enjoyed with loved ones.
