Filming and Photography

Chiswick House & Gardens provide the perfect background for film and photography alike. We are experienced at hosting filming and have previously hosted a wide range of filming projects, from small-scale photoshoots to large-budget film and TV shoots. Our recent appearances on the silver screen include The Great (Amazon Video, 2023), Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway (ITV, 2023) & You (Netflix, 2023).

Filming generates vital income which is invested in maintaining our grounds and our community outreach activities.

We work with FilmFixer, London’s leading film service, to coordinate our bookings and make sure that you have all the information you need to make your project a success.

Personal Photography

Photography for personal use is free of charge but the use of lighting, drones and other equipment is not allowed. There is no need to contact Film Fixer about personal photoshoots. Examples of personal photography are:

  • Engagement & pre-wedding shoots
  • Family photos
  • Hobbyist landscape photography

For photoshoots involving a professional photographer, there are certain regulations to be followed: Chiswick House Gardens – Pre-Wedding + Engagement Photography

Wedding day photography at Chiswick House & Gardens is only allowed for couples hosting their wedding with us.

We have a busy diary of events, filming and weddings on site so availability is never guaranteed for personal photography.

Influencer filming & photography

When capturing content in our gardens, influencers and crew are not allowed to access any areas of the house, including the steps. Equipment should be kept to a minimum, and we ask that you refrain from the use of costumes, change of clothes, or anything that could negatively impact others experience of the site.

Any influencer who wishes to create paid-for or gifted content on social media requires a permit – please contact FilmFixer.
