Filming and Photography

A historic villa, grand vistas, Cricket Pavilion, hidden pathways, Conservatory, architectural delights and a dazzling array of flowers, shrubs and specimen trees – Chiswick is an outstanding setting for filming and photography. The Beatles filmed videos for ‘Paperback Writer’ and ‘Rain’ here in 1966. More recently we have welcomed Harvey Nichols, Chanel and Vogue.

We welcome projects of all sizes – from a small photo shoot to blockbuster films and unit bases. We work with FilmFixer, London’s leading film service, to coordinate our bookings and make sure that you have all the information you need to make your project a success.

For more information about how we can help you create something magnificent, call or email FilmFixer on 020 3904 4545.

Personal Photography

Photography for personal use only is free of charge but the use of tripods, lighting, drones and other equipment is not allowed. For commercial photography or personal photography using professional equipment (including drones), please contact FilmFixer to find out how to make an application for a permit.

A fee will be charged depending on your requirements. Due to the nature of the Estate and the other activities that take place, permits are not always granted.

Engagement and Pre-Wedding Photography

FilmFixer allows pre-wedding and engagement photography to take place at Chiswick House and Gardens free of charge, however there are certain rules and regulations to be followed. Please download the document below for further detail. We have a busy diary of events, filming and weddings on site. Our own events will always take priority, so please get in contact beforehand to check dates and avoid disappointment.

Chiswick House Gardens – Pre-Wedding + Engagement Photography

Please note wedding photography is not allowed at Chiswick House and Gardens. We are a wedding venue ourselves, and so wedding photos in the Gardens are exclusively for couples hosting their day with us.
