Sashiko sessions with B_Boheme
Discover the calming art of Japanese sashiko stitching in this relaxed, beginner-friendly two-hour session.
You’ll learn the foundations of this beautiful Japanese stitching tradition, from transferring a pattern to creating its distinctive running stitches. With friendly guidance throughout, you’ll use reclaimed denim to create your own unique stitched piece to take home.
More than simply learning a new skill, the session offers an opportunity to step away from everyday busyness, enjoy the absorbing process of making by hand and connect naturally with others.
Join us for a one-off introduction or return for further sessions to develop your skills and begin or continue a longer project. Returning stitchers are also welcome to bring a favourite garment or textile to mend, embellish and make uniquely their own.
Come on your own or with a friend – you’ll be warmly welcomed. No sewing experience is needed; just curiosity and a willingness to have a go.
All materials and equipment are provided.
